Novel Effect is a free iOS app that brings popular kid’s books to life by playing sound effects, music & character’s voices as you read out loud. 

Novel Effect works when you read aloud from the corresponding book using voice recognition. 

All of Novel Effect’s audio soundscapes are available for free if you already own or have access to the print book. Soundscapes can also run in the background with iBooks purchases or free previews, or eBooks purchased through your favorite eReader.

Simply select the physical or ebook and read out loud.
